Hi.

Has any one got a copy of this book they can photo copy for me,

only want the chapter on the sequencer and will pay any costs incurred

I built this sequencer in the early nineties but when I sold the sequencer I gave the book away with it.

Now shocked at the price second hand book shops want for this little book

Check Amazon.com, seriously.

I just looked when you mentioned it, and I see two copies from the UK available for $16.66 USD ...

Wow that is just wierd. I thought for $16 I would have a look at Amazon.co.uk. Well knock me over with a teleharmonium, the cheapest was 84 quid. The most expensive was £3000!!!!!!!!!!! For a poxy old Babani project book. Jeez I am kicking myself as I binned my copy 10 years ago,

I've still got a copy of this book and another M K Berry title "Electronic Music and Creative Tape Recording". I've seen them both for sale for £3000 - they cannot be serious! I know what I think that they're really worth...

Gary

P.S. I did scan a few pages for micromusic, but don't tell the copyright police.

So... BUMP!

Does anybody know where to get a pdf, djvu or whatever?

Are the designs exponential or linear, like on most other books?

Sorry only just looked at this post!!!!

I have now sourced a copy and can try and scan it if you are desperate

I only wanted the sequencer parts and made one, but could not get the damn thing to work. The frustrating thing is I made one over 20 years ago and it worked first time Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

If I may, what features does this sequencer have over other ones? I'm interested to know what tricks it has Smile

Hi Micromusic

How many pages need scanning and what size is the book?

Am in London and could scan and post back book & email/pm scan if not too many pages or awkward size.

+1 on what Alan P says please tell us a bit more about the sequencer and the book.

Smile

Hi

To be honest the book has only a small bit I found useful I did make the VCOs from this book , one was based on the 3080 function generator chip which could make a nice LFO and the other was transistor core based one which I made but could not get to work I think that one is volts Hz ala korg ms 10 or 20 not 1 volt per oct
The sequencer was nice because you could use one 8 step sequence for VCO pitch and then run the other 8 step sequence but divided down to change the pitch of the 8 step sequence 1-8 times or any variant on sequence length and from memory (over 20 years ago) I altered it to clock from my tr626

The EG circuit works but I could never get the VCA circuit to work and to be honest with the copied CEM chips now available again I would be making those into nice modules rather than these circuits

I either of you want to try the sequencer I still have the PCBs for the main sequencer board you can have for free!!! I made the Variclock MFOS one instead
