Hi Everyone,

This is my first post in a forum.

Ok so that wasn't too hard. I'm Jeremy (Jay) Hay, I make music as isunray which you can check out through:

www.soundcloud.com/isunray
www.reverbnation.com/isunray
Facebook: isunray

What kind of music do I make? I'm still trying to answer that myself. For me it's all about the song, I most commonly write the song first then build the production up around the story I'm wanting to tell. So, have a listen (see sites above), I'd love to hear what kind of music YOU think I make.

My most recent production is www.soundcloud.com/isunray/the-young-ones. Originally inspired by the passing of the comedic genius Rik Mayall and then became a love letter to the 80s. It's synth pop unabashedly and proud of it.

The bands I love are extensive but my longest and deepest loves are Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Ben Folds, Depeche Mode, Talk Talk, Thomas Dolby, Prince and most british bands and artists of the 1980's.

For the musicians out there: I play and record piano/keys/synths, bass (electric and fretless), guitar (acoustic and electric), mix and master...oh yes and I sing when I have to.

For the producers out there: My DAW is Logic Pro and Reason 7.

I'm keen to do collaborations, listen to your tracks, comment and the like, I'd love to be part of a vibrant community, I hope this is it, drop by and say hi, I'm keen to rave.

Cheers,

Jay

Nice work, Jeremy. Well mixed and executed. You can definitely hear your influences here. I was influenced by new wave as well. I'm open to some collab.

I'm here, if you're interested: www.reverbnation.com/mattgreer

Hi Matt,

Thank-you for taking the time to listen to my music as isunray and for being open to collaborations.

I've had a listen to your music on reverb nation. Its beautiful produced, mixed and mastered. I really your enjoy your guitar playing and you've written some beautiful pieces with empathetic arrangement so you've clearly got a good ear for what works - I LOVE THAT!

I'd be keen to collaborate on something.

I've got a few things on musically but there's always time for a new idea to develop into something potentially special.

I use Logic Pro and Reason and I'm pretty confident on both. if you don't use either we can work in waves and I'm ok with that. We can send files through we transfer.com if that suits.

My email is isunraynz@yahoo.co.nz.

Let me know what next steps work for you and let's get to it.

Cheers,

Jay
