Hi guys,

In my neverending exploration of the Andromeda, one thing I have been unable to determine is whether there are slew limiters available that I can use to process parameters besides KB pitch. One of my favorite tricks is to control filter cutoff with KB velocity and slew the velocity voltage so that the filter opens and closes smoothly every time I press a note, with the effect being more dramatic if I alter my touch dramatically between strikes. Is it possible to accomplish something like this with the Andromeda? (a more basic use would be to only add glide on a Sync'd OSC2)

Thank you very much! Cheers,

Churchy

The Andromeda just happens to be super flexible. While it certainly doens't match what you could do on a modular, it's still highly flexible. Your last question is the easiest, as under the glide page you have individual control over what the portamento controls: Filter 1, Filter 2 (for KB tracking) and Osc1 and Osc2. So yes, only afflicting the synced osc is easy (which BTW is a trick I love too!)

If you need to control anything else with you "slew limiter", there are two different mod sources for this. One relative, and absolute. The former acts as ramp generator pretty much, always settling in on 0 modulation, but it's width and scale depends on the glide settings.

You should also read the manual for more info on the slew limiter. It has tons of options! I tend to prefer it over envelopes when I program kicks for example.
