Introducing IEMEI |
 |
|
IEMEI
Howard Moscovitz and
Jack Tamul
We've been playing together since 1968. Just decided to make it official.
Here's an mp3 track of some electro-music we recorded just today.
Prelude One
We hope that this is the start of a new beginning... |

Sure. It's symmetrical. The New York Philharmonic and The Beatles were taken. So was Britney Spears. After that, what other choice is there? |

I like the harmonics, I like the sound, its fun how you manage to
create such a cool track using just one type of sound and
no "special effects"
I will try to make one of these myself, but im not sure i can do it ;D
im used to put like 20 delay effects and 13 timestretchers on each sound. |

We have discussed what we are doing as a perfroming arts ensenble. We don't want to have explainations be a primary component. We have no theory of how to work.
That said, this particular piece was a straight recording, live in my studio. I used the Nord Modular controlled by an 88 key MIDI keyboard. I used the same patch I used in London and Trondheim, BTW. Jack was playing a Roland JP-8000 (I think). There were no external effects, no processing, no editing, and not even adjustments made during the mixing. This was pure, the way I like to do it. |

JP-8000 |

I am playing a Roland JP-8000. A straight square wave with repeated eigth note delays. The variations occur by overlaping the delays at various points and agumenting the rest durations between delay repeats. _________________ JACK |

I know the meaning of that palindrome (a word, verse, or sentence (as "Able was I ere I saw Elba") or a number (as 1881) that reads the same backward or forward):
