Hi, i´m new at electro-music and with modular synths.

I just wanted to Buy a VCF module, the doepfer a106-5, to use it as a filter of my synths and computer Vst´s, i dont want to spend more than the filter price to have a power suply for 5 or more module couse i just want to use one.

I heard that doepfer module work with +/- 12v and 500mamp, im not sure if it is AC or DC.

could i just put a charger of the same voltage and amps cutting the cable and plugging it in somewhere of the module?, would it work adding the cable to a power supply cable from doepfer?, i would use a small swich on/off. may i need 2 dc chargers for that?

I want it for a homemade effect unit made with guitar pedals (overdrive, chorus, phaser, delay, reverb and EQ) that will look modular adding mini jacks female outputs and inputs Wink

Thanks

welcome party!

how good are your DIY skills ?
The MFOS wallwart power supply could be suitable for your needs.
And maybe you'll find some useful information in this thread.
