Hi

I'd really appreciate some help from Blofeld users.

At present I use an MPC1000 to sequence several hardware synths. I input the sequences using a midi controller keyboard and occasionally use the same keyboard to play live while the MPC sequences are playing.

I'm thinking of ditching the midi keyboard, buying a Blofeld and using it as my master keyboard, but I need to know if these things are possible ....

1. Receive and play a midi sequence on the Blofeld while using the Blofeld keys to play a separate synth over MIDI. I'd need the Blofeld sound engine to respond to only the MIDI input, and the keys performance to be sent out.

2. Receive and play a midi sequence on one Blofeld timbre while playing a separate timbre live on the keys.

If I can't do these things, I'll go for the desktop.

Thanks
Mark

In case anyone's interested, I got the keyboard and it's working perfectly so far. Multi-mode lets you disable both external and local MIDI receive for each channel. No problems playing one channel of Blofeld or an external synth through the MPC while other channels are also being played by the sequencer.
