This is something I've been stuffing around with since discovering the same thing in my Evolver. The first patch is just a stereo delay line controlled with envelopes that make the sound rise and then fall dramatically at the end. Hold down a note and wait Wink. The distortion was an attempt to get the "monster-y" sounds that my Evolver can make. Turns out the Evolver's distortion has too much character and the G2 doesn't get very demonic at all. It's still a great sound though.

The second patch is an experiment with constantly rising sounds, like the shepard tone. Basically the delay gets modulated my an envelope so any sound in the feeback path raises in pitch. Every 4 beats the envelope is reset, which resets the delay time and starts it rising again. Luckily the G2's envelopes are very accurate and the envelope reset barely causes a click in the delay. Because the envelope keeps resetting, anything in the delayline keeps rising, including the stuff that's already risen from many envelope resets, so you get this cacophony of sound constantly rising. When you let go of the note, the whole wall of sound lifts off and rises until it's nothing more than high frequency noise Smile

Crazy, man... Cool

This is really interesting and fun. If you didn't recirculate the audio, you'd have a real-time transposer.

Experiment 1 sounds like flying dinosaurers to me.
Experiment 2 is way out of control and sounds like a space shape taking off from Saturn....but that is just my opinion.
Thanks
Cool

Hahaha, flying dynosaurs, I love it! Although it sounds like those dynosaurs trying to fly fail miserably at the end Laughing
