Pretty close to completion. All MFOS. There are still a few circuits coming together on the bench, but it's mostly operational. Still need some knobs too.

But it works great, and sounds incredible.

Thanks! I have pictures of quite a few of the faceplates. I'll split them up across a couple of posts.

That looks excellent.

I'm still baby stepping to an MFOS modular (finishing up some noise boxes, then onwards to the soundlabs and so on).

Can't wait to get there. Fun journey ahead. Cool

Thanks for the nice comments! If anyone has questions, fire away. I'm not really "an electronics guy", but Ray's projects are so well documented, that I was able to have most modules up and running with no problems at all.

Looks great! How did you do the faceplate printing? I have made some prints on adhesive tape and the clear lacquer on top but the tape comes of in the corners after a few weeks.
Thanks:)

Thanks for the close up shots, it looks really beautiful. And nice to see Marvin on there, I have him sitting on top of my synths Laughing

Thanks!

The faceplates were designed in Inkscape, printed on photopaper, and glued on using one of the 3M adhesive sprays (I'll check which one later today). I've been using the synth in the studio during the build, and the faceplates have held up perfectly. I would estimate that the oldest faceplate has probably been on there for at least a year.

The video in the post above (three up) shows the completed synth close-up.

The adhesive is called 3M Super 77. Seems to work fine. No lifting after a year or so.

Also, the bare aluminum panels were thoroughly cleaned with the cleaner/degreaser Final Wipe. This stuff is amazing, and really makes a difference to how well glues and paints adhere to a surface.
