the G4 is hooked to the Ozonic via firewire and to the XV2020 via USB, the Ozonic is also hooked to the XV2020 via midi.
the XV2020 has an editor for Mac OSX that is way cool Very Happy

A nice simple clean looking road rig - looks good.

Do you use this for solo performances of in an ensemble of some sort? Any recordings of you live work?

I recall that the JV1010 was bundled with SoundDiver by Emagic and I think it should run ok under OS9, not so on OSX

I usually use it to study when I am not home so I don't have recordings made with this rig (yet) Confused

Hey I was wondering if you can help me Please.
I brought the XV2020 and cant get the editing software to work. Whenever I try and upload a sound onto the editing software it says that the usb port is not connected although it is.
Did you have the same problem. This moduel would rock if the software would work but its just frustrating at the moment.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

if you are on windows you might have reached the limit for audio drivers. please, see this post: http://www.electro-music.com/forum/topic-10262.html

@ seraph: nice setup you have there! how do you like the world expansion board? i really like the sfx board.

there is a public beta version of sounddiver for os x here: http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/emagic/Legacy_SW/OS%20X%20SW/
i don't know if it still requires an xskey to work though.

for windows user there is also changeit, more info here: http://aragon.iitb.fhg.de/Software/ChangeIt.html

hope this helps

best regards

Roland simply rehashed the old JV expansion cards. see:
http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.aspx?ObjectId=465&ParentId=37
http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.aspx?ObjectId=427&ParentId=37
but those SRX-06 and SRX-09 that I have in my XV2020 are really fine.

unfortunately Apple is not supporting the development of SoundDiver anymore. they simply killed the application. a disgrace!

oops, i misread your post; you got the xv2020. i was talking about the original 'special effects board' which i think is very musical.

what a shame. Mad i still use sounddiver with logic gold under xp.

here is a picture of my smaller, mobile setup.

Very nice! I'm curious - have you done much analog recording/playback from the laptop to the Ozonic (e.g. VSTi or microphone)? In that context, have you noticed any audio buffering problems (pops, etc)?

no, I did not noticed any audio buffering problems. the technology behind the Ozonic must be the same of other firewire audio interfaces by M-Audio.
