Most of my NM - G2 patch conversions sound similar enough to the original, but those involving FMA inputs sound very different (I think also OSC D is different from the old FMB). I understand from this list that it is because the shape of the attenuation curve has changed. Does anybody know of a quick solution to this issue, is there are way of recreating the old FMA modulation amounts correctly on the G2?

In fact I just noticed elsewhere on this list Rob suggesting that the old FMB should be replaced not with the new osc D but with OSC C set to trk mode (but in theory with a 48khz High pass filter before the input!).
This made it clear to me that I don't really understand the new FM options in the G2, and the Clavia explanation is completely inadequate. Can someone point me to some better explanations of FM in the G2?

I'm pretty sure Rob will be able to clear this up, but I suspect he might not reply for a while because he's preparing to come to the electro-music 2005 meeting this week.
