i was curious if anyone on this forum has attempting to use multiplexers for analog signal switching. it seems like a potentially economical way to do certain types of sequencing, but i haven't been able to find a lot of resources on it. any suggestions?

also, some of the datasheets i've seen seem to presume a level of pre-existing familiarity. maybe someone could explain it to me like i was a kid.

Sure, I use and have used analog multiplexers.
I use the 74HC4067 for switching potmeters and/or switches to analog inputs of an Arduino (clone)
One of the projects in the pipeline is a sequencer, both midi and analog out(the last one at audio frequencies).
