Hi everyone.

I've designed a hardware sampler which using a linear interpolation and decimation . It uses 16-bit PCM mono or stereo samples . I have not implemented an ADSR envelope and i just playback samples at given ratio of interpolation and decimation .

My problem is when i receive a trigger on a playing notes . Because i simply start from beginning of sample after receiving each trigger when a re-trigger happens there is a click or noise on output . I survey the KONTAKT sampler and find out KONTAKT use a almost complex algorithm when re-triggering occurs .

In high pitch notes KONTAKT use a fade out to zero and then start again but in low pitch notes if re-triggering happens very fast because samples are away from zero it starts almost about last level of sample . I mean in low pitch notes and in situations that re-triggering happen very fast (for example 100 ms after first trigger) attack of sample starts from last level of playing note .

Is there anyone familiar with this technique ?

Thanks for your support .
