The idea is that you should be able to do whatever suits you best there ... both ways should work. Oh and re. miditangle vs. NetMidi, they should act the same.
One other thing is that CC mapped controls will not send CC values when the mapped control is changed in the editor (with mouse or keyboard), they can only listen. I could change that I guess at some stage. _________________ Jan

I did try to have wren send midi notes to another softsynth, but I didn't figure out how to set it up properly. Maybe another time. |

Then the message is sent into the patch where any special MIDI modules get a chance to pick it up according to the message content and the settings for that module. | I will assume this means the modules like CCMidiIn and NoteMidiIn.

For this the whole CC range of 0 to 127 is mapped onto the actual number of knob positions available. | Again, I will assume this refers to the global CC assignments.*

*Addendum 1:
The value module (see screen shot I posted showing 16 CC knobs coming from the nanoKontrol) does indeed display 0 to 127. In addition, when the CC is globally mapped to the freq. knob in the osc., a midi value of 0 corresponds with the lowest possible freq value so far as I tested and a midi value of 127 corresponds to the highest possible frequency value.
