Nord Modular G2 - DC coupled outputs

I added 4 DC-coupled outputs to my G2 a while back - there is some info on how to do it in other threads here - but I guess a new thread with the actual procedure might be good.

I made a small perfboard with 4 thonkiconn 3,5mm jacks and a simple OP-amp booster with trimmers on-board. I drilled 8 holes in the G2 to make sure the jacks could be mounted to the back and 4 holes for reaching the trimmers with a screw-driver from the back.

The circuit for the booster is like this:

(plus some decoupling caps) - The power is taken from the regulators on the PSU (+12v and -12v)

I've had some questions about choosing so low values on the resistors. I found that the G2 can easily work with those values without putting much pressure on the opamp - and I get a bit less noise/distortion than with say 100k on the input of my booster.

The point of 40hz in the simulation is connected to the points in the attachment. This is the DC-coupled outputs straight out of the OPamps on the G2. I've numbered them like the regular outputs.

I managed to trim mine so that a note straight to the output set at +6db with patch-volume and master-volume at max gives 1v/octave for a range of more than 8 octaves with less than 0.01v offset... If I was a bit more steady at hand I could probably get even better response. Wink

Anyway - this makes my G2 the best midi-cv converter I own. Adding to that being able to use all the G2 modules to put out CV-modulation I have to say it is the best swiss-army module I've ever had.
