found this little gem while looking for echo circuits. Craig Anderton design too. So I imagine it should work. I love spring reverb!

Perhaps the sound lab vca could be used to provide voltage controlled attenuation?

Hey! This is the one from Guitar Player. I built that one in 78! I just might have it still, but I have no idead where it can be.
I did some silly mistakes when building it and I spent some time getting it right. I remember it to be a bit better than the spring reverb stuff that was in the low end Randall guitar 30 watt combo thingie.

heh heh I was mearly a twinkle in my mothers eye at that point!

Im probably being realy lazy asking for the layout , but I just want to make sure Ive done mine right , without blowing anything up.

While I was looking around for the layout I found a pre made PCB for this for $14 from http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/forums.html?option=content&task=view&id=124&Itemid=102 , so if anyone else is also not so brave thay might find this useful as well?

14 bucks is a bit steep for such a simple design. I reckon it would be really easy to make on stripboard?

I've just built this spring reverb unit, the one that use LM386,
with a reverb tank from an old big electronic organ I bought for 50 SEK.

I didn't know how it would sound, but I'm really impressed! Very Happy

And it makes noise when I shake it Twisted Evil

I really recomend that circuit! Cool

I used to use spring reverbs all the time. It was all I could afford. They are great, but if that's all you have it gets tedious. The best thing about them is when you overdrive them. The input amp distortion sounds great when passed through the reverb springs.

Build a cross fader so you can fade between original and reverberated signal. That's a must-have feature on these things.

There is a pcb already made for the stage center on general guitar gadgets.
