FYI .. Muff images do not work for people not logged in there, so you might consider uploading them here or on another publicly viewable site.

O .. and that hyvesite needs a signup too Confused

Oh well, guess its fun then or something - the PCB looks nice.

Ok I fixed those images, sorry about that. I'm not following you on the website issue? Are you seeing the videos? Is the mailing list sign up confusing to you?

Oh, no idea really, it asks for my name and email and such and then it has this big clickme thingie not saying what that would be good for, but allowing scripting for it, and in turn recursively for some of the the links it has, gives some video .. too bad there is no information. Erm . . . information being "something to read" - sorry for finding videos non informative .. had that at school too .. classes don' t work .. i need to read stuff .. or I'll just doodle or fall asleep .. heh .. I guess the reading classes did work then Laughing

Anyways, thanks for adding the pics, looks lie a fun lil thingie!

Ah OK I think I understand, the mailing list sign up isn't as clear as you would like. The website is brand new, and it's great to have this kind of feedback. I will update it.

You are the first ever person I've met who prefers some text instead of a video to show a musical instrument. Well here we are making text, so what do you want to know? I am happy to answer any questions. It's pretty simple though, you touch the surface and it makes sounds.

Right - like how is the sound made, what control do you have over it - are there schematics, or is there source code.

And yeah an mp3 would be cool too Laughing

Oh ok - The sound is produced with oscillators - it can be tuned to just or equal temperment, or microtonal if you want. It has polyphonic 3 axis touch to control the sound for each note. Pressure controls how loud it gets with a little lowpass. Horizontal movements move the sound right and left. And vertically you can sweep through the harmonic structure. There are actually other axis on the top, which follow the Tonnetz layout, and allow morphing between those intervals (P5, M3, m3, etc.). Well if you just watch the video you can see and hear how it works. There is no source code.

For an audio only clip, just open the youtube playlist and then minimise the browser window Wink

Oh ok, that is a bit like a complicated 'no', but thanks anyway.

Do you mean that loudness is controlled only by a lowpass filter or that it is loudness + a lowpass filter ?
I thought the video posted in the other thread was very clear on what it does btw.

Yea it's both amplitude and lowpass, I guess a bit like the both mode on a Buchla lowpass gate, but no optocouplers.
