Subject description: recordings have nasty distortion on two different operating systems
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

has anyone had trouble with recording using WvOut in chuck? I'm getting nasty-sounding files, as though the sample rates aren't lining up, or there's some issue with clock-drift or something like that. Sound familiar to anyone?

It's happening on two different operating systems:
- running ChucK via JACK on a Raspberry Pi 3 running Raspbian
- running ChucK on a MacBook Pro, using system settings to set soundcard rather than going through Jack.

In all cases, I'm using sample rates of 44100 and setting audio to be 16-bit.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, or is this a more fundemental issue with WvOut itself?

Thanks for any help!
