Yeah so I got a sexy touch monitor only to find that the editor's knobs do not respond as one would wish. They behave like the up/down arrows below each knob but way too fast, no precision possible. Even with press/hold rightclicking disabled in windows' touch input control panel.

Same happens with the g2 demo/editor as well.

SO

Here's an unexpected workaround I have found on win7: go to the mouse control panel and enable "click lock" and set the click locking time to the longest so that it doesn't interfere with your regular use of the mouse. Now, make sure the knob mode in the editor is set to "circular". It works!

Those are the mouse prefs... not sure how it manages to affect how the nord editor responds to a touch screen.. But hey. Problem solved. I'm just going to run with it.

edit: I thought I should mention that the monitor is an acer t232hl, one of the more recommended ones by various people out there. Also, in case you are wondering, patching cables is fairly easy at a resolution of 1600 x 900. I was expecting it to be too tedious but it's quite alright! I do not have the biggest hand... so your mileage may vary.

Ok so it seems the "one finger panning" poses a problem when a patch becomes big enough to make the scroll bars appear vertically. It has to be disabled. No biggie.

I just gave it a go at a resolution of 1280 x 720. A bit less real estate but still plenty...wow this is WONDERFUL! The patching of cables becomes very very easy and fast.

I am most pleased! Very Happy

Ok so setting the click-lock delay time to the default maximum (2200 ms) still interferes with normal use of either the mouse or the the touch in other applications so I regedited it to 5000, rebooted and all is cool.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

click-lock time will appear in there.
