A live recording on an old cassette tape of my grandmother, who is dead since years and years...until now I only have my "toys" ( monotron duo, bastl kastle, standuino fraAngelico ), still waiting, until my modular is finished --- but i gave my best....and I like it - i will not force you to like it too Rolling Eyes


I would need a recomendation for a halfway good and easy to build vco and a very good , easy to build filter....*sigh*

Doesn't get any easier than the 4046 vco.

You can also use a 555 timer for a dead simple vco.
Of course the more features you require the complexity will increase.

The filter portion of ray wilson's weird sound generator is pretty decent.

If you're interested I can go through my notes to see how I was able to get the cutoff voltage controllable. I didn't have any luck with a resonance control, but is resonant as is. Again, there are much better filters out there with a much higher level of complexity.
Maybe as a step up, you can try a state variable filter. A nice feature of these is that you'll have simultaneous high-pass, low-pass and band-pass outputs.
