Hello,

I am about to buy a 3 month old used (but mint...) A6. Since using one in the studio years ago I got attracted to it but I have a couple of questions regarding user comments I have read online.

One user on sonicstate posted that his first three models were "displaying strange amplifications of white noise in the pre and or post filter VCA on the Amsterdam kick patch."

He therefore wouldn't recommend buying a second hand model.

What is the general opinion of you users on this forum on this? Has anybody bought theirs second hand? Are there any particular things I
need to look out for in a used model? What's an easy way to test all the voices (individually) ?

You can read the comment here:
http://www.sonicstate.com/synth_reviews/_inc/user_comments.cfm?id=1075&p=6 it's the first review from the top

Thank you for your advice

Good question, I´d like to know that, too.

i put some test patches on this side which might be helpful.
especially pay attention to the oscillators as they tend to be not properly tuned often , sometimes oscillator 1 against 2 or over some part of the keyboard. only sollution to that is replacing chips.
therefore i would prefer a new A6 with warranty
greetings sunny
