Hah, of course .. just redraw it a bit .. and it will make sense

I did redraw it but not in a way that makes sense to me as it turns a single DC voltage into a dual one.
But that's probably because I am used to standard linear regulators. Embarassed

After looking deeper on the subject I see that are different designs, and that one look like works. The Nozoid page states that it has 8mv of noisefloor, tho. Too good to be true, I guess it would be whitout load.

Anyway that´s a really clever idea and I would be testing this as a power supply somewhere in the coming weeks. I think this is the perfect PS for beginners or a spare one to check new builds. Cool Wink

There's always the option to use a single 24v supply, and then build a rail splitter circuit. I'd probably use an lm7812 as a reference voltage to drive a big power transistor (or two, depending on the setup.) That should provide a nice stable virtual ground capable of handling a lot of current. Some of those eBay boost regulator boards can go over 30v, and can be powered from as little as a couple volts, but I'd be very careful about trusting current delivery claims. All in all, not too different from what phobos suggested above.

I'm strongly considering building a little portable synth with the above described power scheme so I can use a commonly available 5 or 12 v wall wart. For something small like I have in mind, an lm7812 by itself as the rail splitter would probably be able to handle more current than the system could provide.
