I got tired of all the comments that the G2 doesn't sound "phat" - so here you go. It is NOT a lead patch, but it is good for majestic chords. I'm sure there is room for improvement because this is my first patch on the G2.

Basicaly, I used my favourite patch from my NL3, found the closest patch on the G2 and then set the filter parameters on the G2 to match the NL3, tweaked the LFO to do a quick osc sweep via the mod envelope.

~~ Enjoy ~~

Welcome AshtonPage.

It indeed s better to patch than to moan :-)

I'm not not a keyboard player so I just hit a few quick notes on the editor's builtin keyboard - the patch sound allright to me.

Jan.

welcome Good to have you here.

It sounds pretty similar to what I remember those monster synths sounded like.

If you don't mind, would you please update your profile to indicate where in the US you are? It's nice to know where people are located. Thanks...

Thanks for the kind remarks. It's nice to be able to share patches with others so easily.

I remember the "old days" - the first patch I shared was when my entry was picked for "Patch of the Month" by Keyboard Magazine for a DX7 analog emulation - way longer ago than I care to remember. All the parameters were printed in the magazine and if you wanted to input it into your DX7, you had to type in each and every single parameter - one by one. And at the time, we thought that was pretty high-tech Wink

Later,

Ashton

Very Happy
that is cool and funny! Reminds me of old school automation on SSL boards lame recall function where the screen would show you where you need to put the knob , on each channel strip this was needless to say a painstaking process... Rolling Eyes
It is wonderful we can share patches this simply indeed!
