I have a bunch of 3.5" mono jacks in my modular synth. These all have a threaded ring that holds them to the panel. EG, Switchcraft 35RAPC2AV or a clone of it...

Question: these come loose sometime, does anyone have a suggestion about the best tool to tighten them up?

Right now I use needle nose pliers, which don't get them that tight, and can scratch the front panel.

I notice all the rings have small notches 180 degrees apart, perhaps there is a dedicated tool I can use to hook into those notches to get it good and tight? Anyone know what this is?

yes, there is a tool for that. I got this one from mouser earlier this year,
works a lot better than needle nose pliers.
