"May" released |
|
|
Hi everyone.
On Friday, I will be releasing the 10th album in my "Harmonium Diaries" series, "May".
"May" contains 19 pieces, and is 50 minutes long.
"May" is a more uplifting experience than any of the previous albums, with more pieces exploring repetitive melodies and harmonies. The sound is especially lush and atmospheric. But don't be misled, it is not all happy camping. Several of the pieces are dark and ominous, and of course there are many melancholy twists and turns.
Here is an mp3:

I have found "May" to be the most difficult album to compile so far. I had an abundance of pieces to go through, so a lot more time was spent getting the right pieces. Therefore, I am pleased to see the back of "May". THis isn't to say I don't like it, just that I have been overexposed to it!
I hope you all like the mp3.
Cheers
Chris

Consistency? Maybe constancy!
I couldn't work like this all the time, it is quite exhausting, and fortunately I only have 10 days left of recording. Only 2 more albums to compile, the selected tracks album to compile, then making boxes for a boxed set, as well as an "outtakes" album for the box to compile. Fortunately, the reconstruction album is self compiled!
With any luck by October 22 it will all be finished, then I can get on with some new works, as well as remastering my earlier albums, for those that may want them.
Anyway, thanks for the kind words and continued support.
Cheers

"Free from variation or contradiction" !!!
Hmm. The first comment I got in the series was "It all sounds the same".
Quite true I guess. The variation is to be found in feel I suppose. |

so this is where you've got to. i always buzz thru & chk the 'on line' & 'introduce yourself' threads. missed this.
listening now. beautiful piece. more light to this one.
so how many hours make up the total releases? i wondered if you had any plans to hook up with other artists that have done similar year long projects, or perhaps a gallery. _________________ Que la musique sonne - Edgard Varese
