I have a pulse, and being an anorak i was surprised by the pics of the waveforms so fired up the oscilloscope and had a nose. It seems the unfiltered waveforms only look like the shots shown when the oscillators are overdriving the mixer (an intentional feature of the pulse apparently).

When looking at the raw waveform of a single unfiltered oscillator, fading its mixer level up from 0 (range is 0-127) shows a much more conventional sawtooth/triangle wave that starts to distort into the shapes shown in the first post around the 30-40 mark, fully becoming those shapes at the 127. I am guessing that adding more oscillators into the mix at that point will increase the distortion even more, so accurate emulation of the pulse could be *really* tricky.

Yep the overdrive kicks in from 30-127. To be honest I always use it overdriven cos that sounds best to my ears Smile

The first time I turned my pulse on... my girlfriend gave me a look that I'd never seen before in 4 years Wink

I have time again to get this emulation 'finished' to some degree. I had been thinking about how to emulate the interaction of the three overdriven Oscillators.. but basically it's going to be an overdriven version...

I've gigged with certain pulse patches emulated on my G2 and they sounded great.

I also have a Pulse editing patch nearly finished too. Which makes editing the beast a dream.
