Check out those filters comparison between Nord Comb filter and two DIY delay-based comb filters.

The first one is a Feedforward Comb Filter while, the last one, is a Feedback Comb filter. The effect achived when the feedback knob is fully clockwise is very nice. I think that good vocal-like sounds can be obtained with it.

the feedback and feedforward designs sound very good. nice hollow sound at times. really thickens things up.
