HiHi - I've been doing a bunch of different audio electronics circuits, but haven't done much MIDI before.. But now Doepfer have the very well priced Pocket Electronics which converts 16 analogue signals (0 - 5v) into MIDI control changes. I'm currently prototyping my own custom footswitch controller (which'll also have CV outputs 'cos I've been building modulars recently), but so far I've put together this rather interesting touch-to-MIDI control interface:

(there's a bigger image on this page with more details) (and, by the way, this'll be mounted into a big exterior box with speakers etc built in)

I wanted to test out how the Pocket Electronics respond to varying analogue signals. So this box, which is going to be the centre of an upcoming sound installation, features 8 momentary electronic touch switches, 4 analogue LFOs with touch-sensitive speed bending (which converts straight to a modulating MIDI control change) and 4 touch-to-MIDI voltage followers.. It's a pretty different way to control a synth.!.
