Well sort of, I did try some things.

Assuming you want to remove noise from an existing recording, I'd not do it in general.

Some small amount of hiss is very tolerable for the human ear IMO, and when the noise is heavy you'll only get it out with damaging the music severly. That is, assuming some sort of spectral analysis followed by filtering is used. Some simple high cut or mildly expanding the dynamic range of the signal could do a bit as well, but dont expect miracles.

Clicks, pops and scratches is a diferent thing, some of the more recent wave editors have tools to remove those, but for me it works best to manually remove them by redrawing the wave a bit, or even bluntly making short dips where the pops were.
