well...it's probalby silly...but...i dunno what is the "trigger out" and the "gate out" on this generator(well...not on this particular, i just don't know that trigger and gate are) :

A trigger is always a very narrow, or brief pulse.
The length of a gate depends on, for example, how long a key is held down.

Triggers are good for S&H clocking etc, gates typically for envelopes.
