Dunno if people will have come across this yet, but all the old Synapse Mags are online at Cyndustries: http://www.cyndustries.com/synapse/intro.cfm

I'd come across two of the Blacet articles before (Voltage Controlled Clock with Arranger & Digital Pattern Gen) but there's also an Arabesque Shift Reg straight from Serge Designs (and mentioning Terry Riley in the article - that makes me smile) and Touch Responsive Keyboard plus Programmer with which I figure you'd be able to make something very similar to the Serge Touch Control Keybaords --- ACE!

The Synapse site has been posted here before. THX for posting it anyway. The old Synapse magazine was wonderful. I still have a box full of those somewhere. Very Happy

Yup, just search for Synapse and you'll find other references to this.

Hey, it's OK. Keep on posting good information like this. I just pointed that out to try to inform people of the search feature. The forum has a lot of features that many people are unaware of.

HeHe, yeah, I did the search afterwards and found this: The Tone Ladder - STRANGE

There's only a couple of mentions of the mag previously and they don't really point towards the circuitry gems within. Its cool to see articles (both circuits and about other techniques and ideas) by people like Anderton, Simonton, Blacet etc and its really interesting to see these circuits that are a bit wierd and experimenty - y'know, I'm more into modulars as powerful processors rather than supersynths...

ACE&BEST!

Wow! That tone ladder is very cool! Be sure to go to that site and look at the video demo. It took a long time to load, but it was worth the wait. Cool
