Someone asked for this a while ago ...

I took a 303 patch with a nord classic filter and added a xfade so it can route to the evolver filter ... the part which routes to the evolver filter also includes a feedback loop from the evolver filter thru a voice filter in the middle of the loop & back into the evolver filter

the mp3 start with the g2 filter, and then there is a lot of different settings from the evolver filter ... a boring patch but it illustrates the sounds you can get from the evolver ... if people want, I can post a better demo ...

I'm glad this demo helped .. the evolver filter is quite evil, it has many sources of distortion (3) and filter feedback (2) - both of which add more character to the filter. I added my own filter feedback in the g2 for even more mayhem ...

it was a simple patch and some random stuff ... but the g2 filter at the beginning has res fully cranked -- in the evolver it is almost 100% and goes all the way ...

the evolver filter is more squelchy than the g2's and phatter ...

That is a good combo indeed 4 slot G2 + 4 voice evolver -- too bad the poly evolver does not have 4 inputs tho Sad only 2, Confused

you'd think each voice should have it's own dedicated input since the poly must be based on the mono evolver but maybe not .. if it did hen you could run 4 mono signals from a g2 into 4 inputs of the evolver and each is routed to a different voice - & different filter ..

but with a poly you can at least use one of the 2 inputs in each patch in the evolver) so in essence two independent filters (a mono signal into each) and feed those and back into the g2..

you can aways buy 4 mono evolvers Shocked

ow well nothing is perfect ...

The Evolver has been the best purchase I have made in the last five years. It's so exciting; it's my centerpiece, despite me owning a g2 engine, Monomachine, Machinedrum UW, and MC-202.

I have the mono version and I can't imagine having three more voices. SO THICK!
