Here's a streamlined new version of my counter circuit.

Originally I had used feedbacked S-Flipflops as one-sample pulse generators. However, I've found out now that the logic pulse module also produces exactly one sample, and is more efficient output-wise.

This circuit has following controls possibilities:

AMOUNTS -Sets separate amounts for upwards and downwards counting.
START -Sets the start value

See the attached demonstration modules to see how to implement the logic gates for starting and counting.

This fully-equipped counter circuit uses only 1,8 cycles/3,9 memory. If you only need a simple upwards counting circuit with reset to zero, you can simply remove the unnecessary modules (START constant module, DOWN logic pulse) and replace the dual mixer with a single one, getting it down to 1,0 cycles/2,3 memory. How good is that Smile?

That is very cool..i just dont understand why the pulses build up in value...
That is quite some discovery...

The pulses add up because the whole circuit is in 100% feedback.

I just realized something regarding buildingblocks... its pretty important to copy the settings into all variations otherwise some vital settings might be lost when inserting a block into another variation... seems somebody should push the parameter copy into all variations wish on the list a bit more...instead of the up/down counter Wink
