I also have to say- it's the one analogue synth, apart from the ones that I build myself, that I would love to own. My dream would be a great big white-washed room with a Synthi in the middle of it, next to a Revox A77 (for echo naturally Wink ) two large monitors on either side and/or two Leslie rotating speakers at either ends too. Ahh Heaven! Very Happy

You got some weird dreams, mate.

Fuck that. He had a bigger space. Don't tell me you live in a nice big space with a loft for your studio. I don't even have that.

Ah... Leslies. I remember them well. Repaired more than a few in the late 60's and early 70's. I knew an organist who just loved them, claimed tibias played through them could make the old ladies in the pews pee in their pants. Being undenominational I never attended any of his services so I never got to see if that was true. So v-un-v, is it true? Laughing

I only tease you because you are such an Apple head Wink

I just want to make clear that, tease or not, the first paragraph is a true story--a church organist actually said that too me.

Question Question Question Exclamation Question

Eh?? Sorry Bachus, you've completely lost me Shocked

What's that got to do with Apple??

Lets get one thing straight. I hate all computers- even Macs. A computer, at the end of the day is nothing more than a glorified calculator. The only reason that I use Macs is because they tend to be better than PC's. They also tend to work and rarely break down. I also hate the way that Microsoft have very little imagination- and choose to (badly) copy Apple's OS (claiming all along that "Oh no- we haven't 'copied your OS, anyway, after all, your Mac OS is just a rip -off of Xerox's OS isn't it?" etc etc!- yawn- I'm falling asleep already........! Twisted Evil Laughing

I would have a vcs3 and a leslie over a computer any day Cool Cool

I've seen that Metasonix rack before Wink Are you still vapourising small furry animals with it?

I like your frac rack setup. The Wiard stuff fascinates me.

better believe it... actually I think i've already exploded every single one within a 100-mile radius... we're down to incinerating any little bug who happens to fly into the city now...

EdisonRex wrote:

Thanks - it completely fascinates me as well. Interestingly, buying the modules has only served to INCREASE the fascination. They are absolutely incredible, and must be experienced. Words don't even begin to cover it.

I'm basically finished building frac-rack at this point, other than a small handful of modules. 2008 is going to be a big year for me - i'll be building a Wiard 300 system. I'm totally sold on the Wiard designs, just incredible stuff.

cheers

Tom you should post some NM kling-klangs again, one day Exclamation

Laughing

It gets like that doesn't it?? Laughing

Ever since we had kids, it's like if I get out my NM, I get flamed by Rosie for even considering doing any patching. She bought hers before I bought mine, and both of us went through the "watch the sun set then rise again" phenomena, but now there are nappies to be changed, the washing up desperately needs doing (2 or 3 times a day), all those food stained clothes need washing and hanging out to dry, and one of the kids has just thrown-up on the sofa Shocked Laughing Well you get the picture.... Laughing Laughing

So the little red meanie lies there doing little. At least there are two of them- but I haven't seen any 'pico-modulars' yet!? Shocked Laughing
