Hi All,

I recently got an Engine to be used mostly as an external FX processor. I have a couple of good hardware reverbs (Lexicon PCM70 and TC Reverb4000) so the plan is to use the Engine for just about everything else.

Here are a couple of patches that have been working out really well when used along with the reverbs. Each patch has two different Chorus effects in parallel, one with the classic sweeping delays and one with Pitch Shifters used as detuners. These are then fed to a stereo ping-pong delay.

One of the patches uses a basic clean delay with tone damping, and the other uses an amazing tape delay emulation created by Rob H. It doesn't always behave politely when presented with hot signals and long sustained sounds, but when you want to make extreme tape delay effects by cranking the repeat control all the way up, it really has a lot of attitude like a real tape delay (thanks, Rob!).

So I have the Engine patched from a stereo FX send on the analog console and returning it's output to a couple of channel strips, so I can then cascade the Engine effects into the reverbs along with the other channels. This is working out really well. These chorus & delay patches sent to a lush reverb are exactly what I've been looking for. Enjoy!
