i think we could say a 2nd run will happen. i will think about a deadline for advance orders in the new year. there is no hurry, isn't it?

BTW i am taking NO money yet. i will try to follow our guidelines:

thank you all for the advance orders so far. we are at less than 50 PCBs, however this is more than 40 PCBs, so it will definetely happen.

if you all don't mind i will set a cutoff-date for advance orders to the end of month (some may still be on vacation), boards should then be ready approx. mid-february.

obviously there is enough interest in a 2nd run of the Super Controller PCBs.
i will take advance orders until 30 JAN 09, 12:00 UTC+1.

i will order the PCBs when the cutoff has passed. it will take two weeks for PCBs to arrive at my home. so the PCBs will be ready for delivery mid-february (estimated).

the next days i will PM all who showed interest so far. thanks.

[EDIT: timeframe added]

i just wanted to make a last call. i think this will be the last run of PCBs for this module, for a very long time at least. so think twice. Wink
however, i will order a view PCBs more so that i have some spares (for whatever reason), so there might be a chance to get a board even without advance order and after cut off.

Sorry didn't read the cutoff date in the thread title until now, if you still have a spare PCB that has not been allocated yet, I would like to order 1.

Thanks, Julian

Hmm, Herr Herrman,

If you still take orders I would like to order one or 2PCBs as well if possible. Sorry for being late, I thought I found out about this after your cutoff date.

Hello Matthias,

Would it be possible to purchase one of these spares from you and then just have you ship it with the PS3100/X-panfader combo I had planned on ordering from you?

Thanks,
Brett

You know this might be crazytown, but looking around the forum at all the PCBs that have had group buys and aren't available now, and reading this plea:

http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-31934.html

it got me thinking...nobody is trying to make money on their PCBs, it's a labor of love, so why not make the appropriate files available to send to a place like http://www.batchpcb.com where people who missed the group buys could do one-off PCBs for fairly cheaply. Not as cheaply as a group buy, but at least they would have the option for $30-40 or so.

Or maybe do smaller pre-paid runs at batchpcb.com if releasing the Eagle files was a problem, although since there are usually pdf schematic/single sided layouts about, I'm guessing secrecy isn't really the thing.

Just a thought. I've just been drooling over a few designs I've seen looking through the archives and personally would rather spend a bit more money to have batchpcb.com make something for me than etch my own, by a long shot.

Either way, thanks for doing this at all.

@doobedy:

some valid points. yes, it is labor of love - but not abuse. this PCB run takes place with the kind permission of Thomas Henry. it is still his circuit design. if i published the PCB design i would loose any control, which would not be desired in this case. this is in consideration and acknowledgement of his generosity.
hope you understand.
