Hiya, I'm not sure if this has been done a million times or is common. Im still very new to the G2 and the forums but I thought I should share this as I haven't or can't recall seeing it in any of the sequenced or drum patches I've checked out. And I wasn't entirely sure where to post this. It could be a building block I suppose. But this seems like the correct place.

Ok... so Im a lazy LAZY bones when it comes to making hi hat patterns. But while messing around trying to learn something useful about the logic gate, I stumbled on clock signals and the logic gate and managed to make a hi hat pattern generator of sorts. It sounds great with or without swing. Has a sort of open hat accent feature and is dead simple to use. Just mess with the the clock divider values to change the groove.

Anyway, again, sorry if this is a total newby patch. But what the heck! I just want to try and give back to the community, you guys rock.

The kick and snare are added to give a little something with the patterns so you have context with the patterns. Variations 1-4 are active. The rest are empty.

As a side note, you can use the logic gate's output to trigger envelopes on a bass synth or what have you, and have the "ValSwitch" modulate attack and decay to decent affect. It sort of makes a bit of an accompaniment to the beat. As the manual says... "Experiment" Very Happy

ALSO, please excuse the levels... I dont have monitors yet and so my mixing levels are very very very sad.
