Subject description: some questions / users here ?

Hi forum,

I`m very interested in the new tetra-synth by DSI - I see the web-videos and read the pdf-manual ... I think the tetra is worth the price.

Question to tetra-users: I plan to use the synth without the editor (I`m not working with winXP) - is it possible to edit all kinds of parameter, especially the sequencer from the front panel ? Or there are some parameters I can`t use/change without the editor ?

Thanks for your help !

wave ...

I'm pretty sure that you need the editor to have full edit ability, email DSI about it or look at the manuel http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/downloads/docs/Tetra_Manual_v.1.1.pdf

I owned the Mopho, and I suppose the Tetr4 is almost the same in editing.

You can edit all the parameters from the control surface, without exception, but it's not easy or comfortable.

Meanwhile I`ve read the manual and it seems that it is possible to edit the whole unit without restrictions (incl. the sequencer).

Yes - this seems to be not very comfortable - unfortunately.

Maybe I`ll run XP on a second pc (only for the editor) - I have to think about that ...

Thanks for the tips & info.

What about using a midi controller instead? You can find a BCR2000 for $70 - $80 used, which is much cheaper then a second copy of Windows XP Smile

Maybe a good idea - but I think this isnt comfortable and needs a lot of time to match all the parameters to midi-cc ...

I have already a second notebook (for my NM G1) - so I will update it to win xp and run the editor - I think thats the most comfortable way in my situation.
