I just got a Nord G2 Engine. I purchased it from someone in the UK. I'm in the US. I got what I believe to be an appropriate power cord. It is a PHINO PHS-205A. See here for power cord details: http://www.phino.com/upload/more.asp?kindid=38

However, the outputs are somewhat distorted. Not in a clipping way, but in an interference kind of way. This happens for all 4 line outputs, but the headphone output is clean. When patching just a sinewave directly to the outputs, I get a dirty sound.

I heard some beating to the interference, so I pitch down my sine oscillator until the beating stops, and I realize I'm able to exactly match the interference when I have the sine wave at 60Hz. It must be a power problem, right? So, does anyone know why this might be? Other than using a power cord appropriate for my country, is there anything I need to do to make it work on my power system?

Any help is welcome. Thanks.

I believe that you need to open your G2 and flip the switch on the power supply that will make it work properly with 110V instead of 220V. Also you will need to replace the fuse with one rated for twice the current.

More details can be found in this thread.
