I haven't posted much in this thread because I hardly got anything done in the first 8 months and then scrambled to complete as much as possible when the school year ended. Everything in the top cabinet is from 2009. I hope to finish it in 2010.

Just finished this one.

Blacet Time machine to Modcan refit:
I hope the owner will be as happy receiving this as I was (finally) finishing it!!!

Two different Wave Multipliers with a bit extra and a Burst Generator:

Unfortunately, all these modules left my possession as soon as they were finished. It was hard to say goodbye Smile

p.

Wish I had more but the metalphoto place screwed up my prototype!
Ohhh, I need an aspirin.

I finished my WASP VCF a few weeks ago. I added 2 extra gain stages at the output
as the level was a little weak compared with other modules. One stage amplifies X2
the Distortion out, and the other amplifies the main output X2, so when the
Distortion is engaged I get a X4 gain.
I will post a general picture of the actual state of my modular soon.

Thanks guys!

The Time machine and the Wave Multipliers have modified circuits.
The TM CV VCA is modified so that the envelope follower, LFO, and External Input are pre VCA instead of post VCA. Originally, only the LFO goes thru the VCA.
The Wave mults have a boost switch that pushes the module into some intense overdrive. Plus a bunch of component value tweaks.

I'll try and get up a couple posts documenting the mods and I'll put them in their relevant sub forums.

The caliber of work in here is amazing (just plain ridiculous at times!)! I'm almost embarrassed to post my stuff, but I suppose this will be a good benchmark to compare to at then end of 2010.

Here's how my system ended up at then end of the year. This past year was really the beginning of it all for me as far as diy synth stuff is concerned, so most of it is fairly basic. Most of the modules are lunetta-based stuff (various 40106 oscillators, some dividers, 4077 ring mods, and others...), but I got a few op-amp based modules in as well (some lfos and a couple of filters). Many thanks go out to everyone in the lunetta forum for all the inspiration!

I just got my first volumes of electronotes, so it's on in 2010!

Also, I built a little synth for emraldadrift as a gift a few weeks back (probably my favorite build of the year!).

That module looks great. Where did you get those knobs? I was thinking about using some knobs like that on my next sequencer project.

They look like Davies 1900 clones available from Smallbear in the USA, either in phenolic:

or ABS:

or in lots of different colours:

thanks and yes, they are the serge-alikes from smallbear.
if you are talking about the three knobs on top...
one of my friends gave me about a hundred 1k pots with 1/8" shafts that have those knobs on them
