Yesterday was the first presentation of Birch Transmogrifier. wmonk or woody monk is the Birch and Inventor is the Transmogrifier. wmonk generated lots of really cool synth music from his home studio and I recevied the stream and processed it with my Transmogrifier program that does looping. The result was quite nice and everyone in the chatroom liked it, so have a listen!

Thanks Antimon and Blue_Hell, enjoyed playing this! Had one network time out, you can hear that 'round 40 minutes into the show, hope that will not happen next time.

And Inventor, thanks for playing together! Very Happy

It was great fun, the synth sounds of wmonk were a perfect compliment to the Transmogrifier. I worked out well.

Thanks my friends!

I made a video with some pieces of the show to put on Youtube. Think you'll like it.

Very nice, Woody! How'd you create the FX?

The video was done with footage found on the Internet Archive. I used the opensource app Cinelerra (http://cinelerra.org/) to add the effects (add greys and a zoom blur effect). Because Cinelerra is a heavy application, I did the last things (audio, text effects) with the opensource app OpenShot (http://www.openshotvideo.com/) Smile

Thanks, Woody. That's encouraging, because I would like to eventually not have to use Windows, and one of the things stopping me is a good video editor other than Vegas. I'm familiar with Cinelerra and Openshot, so it's good to know they can do funky shit. Cool

Here I present to you the second performance of Birch Transmogrifier. Woody even got his vocals going a bit and provided wild source sounds, while I was able partway thru the show to come up with a delay modulation technique that sort of captured audio and relooped it dynamically. That added to the overall performance and it went very well. Definitely worth a listen, two hours long.
