Hi Neil
Having never attended one of these events could you outline what goes on during the weekend.. eg are there performances, workshops etc. or do you all just stand about and drool Wink. not that that ain't fun ! Does one have to be a DIYer to attend. Are you expected to bring equipment. etc

Thanks

Jamie

Hi,

The general idea is to bring together like-minded people for a weekend of social interaction. Some bring equipment, others simply their interest and enthusiasm. Drooling is generally frowned upon - it corrodes the aluminium panels.

In the past we've held talks from various people, and we're always open to offers! We also hold a raffle each year, with money going to the Drake Music Project. And every year there's always a tin of SPAM for one lucky winner Very Happy

Otherwise the entire weekend is spent playing, tweaking, talking, catching up with friends old and new, drinking curry, eating beer, etc.
Check out the photo archives on Paul Maddox's site to see what we get up to (and what some of us looked like).

A couple of years ago SonicState visited and took some videos:

(you need to get to around page 52 on the sonicstate.com video section if you're just browsing).

Cheers,
Neil
