Hello , ............ been distracted from the soundlab++ by this long overdue project tie up .... Mfos WSG , Velleman running led project & an old 'Colombus digital delay' stompbox (needed repair).

Re housed my WSG with a better panel .

Added Rays WSG cv mods to 4 osc's & the filter cv mod.

Seperate sequencer cv on/off switch for each of the 4 osc's.

Added a switch to select the velleman 555 clock or an external clock in, to count the shift register (CD4015). Can sync the sequencer clock to my mfos 16 step seqencers or clock dividers.

Built the Velleman running led kit (rapid electronics) & modified according to MirlitronOne's youtube vid.

sqeezed in an old Colombus digital delay fx pedal & transplanted controls to the front panel .

The audio level from the WSG was near perfect for the stompbox input but the output of the stompbox pcb was very low so i looked through a couple of old R.A.Penfold (Babani electronics) books on op-amps & amplifier circuits and found a simple 9V single supply non inverting pre-amp for the output of the fx.

Very happy with the results , deep space music here we come Smile Smile Smile

some pics of inside the Weird sound generator.
Not the neatest of wiring, but i love the golden moment when a new build is working and the first jam with it gives you a cloud of musical ideas Very Happy

The sound samples are trance inducing Dave. I like the sequenced bit very much. I tend to like those robotic, assembly line, "worker bee" sort of bits really. Cool Nice job.

That's lovely, thanks for the inspiration. My WSG has Ray's rather neat & tidy front panel. It's time I took it all apart and added some useful mods as well as designing a more interesting panel or bunging it all in a biscuit tin or something.
Your combination of WSG & simple sequencer & delay just sounds great. I'll be looking to add something similar I think to perk up the old WSG & renew my interest.
Thanks again,
Ian

Most excellent build!

All hail deep space...sounded almost Benjolin/Zeritgeist at times...Bebe Baron at others.

Inspiring.
