Cannot get Nomad to work with OSX 10.6.5
|Hello. I've been trying desperately to get my MicroModular back up and running again. Recently bought a refurbed MacBook Pro. I had previously ran Nomad on my old WinXP laptop with no problems. Now i can't seem to get the damn thing to work. Here's my setup:
MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6.5
MidiSport 1x1 USB
Nord Micro Modular v3.03
Here're my problems:
Nomad recognizes that there is a Modular hooked up, but I cannot access any of the patches from my modular, nor save into it. I get the following error message now when trying to access the Micro:
net.sf.nmedit.jsynth.SynthException: net.sf.nmedit.jnmprotocol2.MidiException: Communication timed out: 1290888345838 [error=-1001]
Caused by: net.sf.nmedit.jnmprotocol2.MidiException: Communication timed out: 1290888345838 [error=-1001]
... 11 more
I have tried both mmj and Plumstone, to no avail. With them installed, I no longer get the above errors, but I still get no connection at all to the MicroModular. I've also tried every other workaround I could find mentioned in this forum. Any internal settings in the Options page for the synth are all grayed out. Please, someone help me, lead me in the right direction to get this going. Thank you very much in advance for any help you provide.
