focused parameter editing from G2 keyboard? |
|
|
Hi, I just started constructing my own patches with the 1.62 editor and my expanded G2 keyboard. But the process of adjusting the focused parameters on the modules is - regarding I have the hardware synthesizer in front of me - unhandy. Value adjustments only seem to work with the mouse, computer keyboard or after having assigned the focused parameter to a dedicated slot on the G2. Isn't there a general knob or dial on the G2 synthesizer for changing focused parameters on the fly?
Or did I miss a trick?
Otherwise I'm in love with the system, it is pure awesomness! |

Yes there is a way to do this. Press the Patch button, then press and hold the Shift button and then the Down navigator button. This will focus on the first module in the patch as it would appear in VA area of the Editor window. The name of the module and adjustable parameters will then be displayed in the LCDs above the knobs. Use the navigator buttons to focus on the different modules of the patch. Read the topic “ACESSING (EDIT) ANY PARAMETER IN A PATCH” in the manual for more details (page 37 of the V1.4 pdf file).
I don’t use that function very much. I usually take the time to assign parameters to the knobs/buttons. The quick and easy way is to open the tool “Parameter Overview” in the Editor. Then just doubleclick on the knob assignment in the overview window, then drag the cursor over to the module parameter that you desire. A + sign will display next to the cursor when an assignable parameter is under the cursor. Just release the mouse button and the assignment will be made. You can also quickly move and edit the knob assignments within the overview window. _________________ varice |
