| I have built a Cacophonator - if you mean this feature, it is really cool and should be really esy to adopt it to another cmos circuit. |

One shot as in a monostable circuit? _________________ As a mad scientist I am ruled by the dictum of science: "I can't really be certain but I think I might have an idea"

Exactly. I came across a logic synth with a "one shot" section and was wondering if anyone here has built one into their lunetta. |

Well you could use a one shot for a multitude of different things. The possibilities really are endless.
What you really need to do though is get your imagination in gear, pick up a pencil and paper and sit down at a table for an hour. _________________ As a mad scientist I am ruled by the dictum of science: "I can't really be certain but I think I might have an idea"

What would I do with a one-shot? Hmmm, never used one really. I guess it would be great for triggering some effect. Like for example the following:
Take some cool sound effect that you like and generate it on a continuous basis. Put that into one input of an AND gate. Put the one-shot in the other input of the AND gate. Whenever the one-shot fires, you get your effect for the duration of the one-shot.
One could make a song sequencer in the way described above, with multiple one-shots and multiple AND gates all wired up to all of the elements of your song. Then make a master song sequencer that fires all the one-shots over the duration of the song, and you got yourself a song sequencer.
There is a wealth of possibilities, but sometimes you need a few ideas to spark your imagination. Now get to creating, time's a-wastin'!

| yeah, I was thinking it might be useful in triggering samples from an external source. hopefully i'll have some time tomorrow to experiment with it. |
