Subject description: to safe settings in NL3

Hi.
I am mixing the sound in my rig and my LN3s are resonding to my steropanning which I do with MIDI-OX software and Nord sound manager. No problem I can set the panning in cc10
But..when I save the performance at the NL3 it does not stick. It goes to previous setting ie the panning is just like before
It's just that I done understand how to save the new setting.
Is there any way you can do that?
Anders

Hi,

CC #10 isn't transmitted from the synth. It is only incomming Midi Controller data which is able to control the panning. You have to save this in an automation file, like a starting SysEx file send as soon the sequencing program is started. It has to be saved on the computer.

So you mean you have to play along with the sequencer timeline to make it work? Should it not be possible to make the cc message to work for each program at the same time you press the program change pedal?

There is probably an option in the sequencer which offers as first action in the sequencer to set the CC in the right values, so the synth is prepared to sound the way it has to. I never use that option, but it is called automation or something like that.
Anyway, that's the way to save parameters which can't be saved in the synth itself.
