  • howdy, i'm Walter Lapchynski.
  • i'm from the sister city to the inspiration for Bart Simpson's home.
  • on IRC, i'm wxl.
  • as Brownian Motion, i make all sorts of racket from harsh noise to drone. often times my work is subversive, but rarely in an obvious way.
  • as a member of The ERNIE 4, i help to create a dense field of all sorts of noise and ambient.
  • occassionaly, as dj x∃n, i play Creative Commons electronica. it's been a while. a long time ago, i used the name to mix electronica, industrial, goth, and even classical. at the same time.
  • not surprisingly, i'm an geek and worse yet, an open source one.
  • i use Linux.
  • i have a wee netlabel called Brownian e/Motion(s) which has mostly put out Brownian Motion and The ERNIE 4.
  • there are two compilations that i have put out-- one revolving around contact microphones and one that has to do with open source software.
  • two more volumes of this open source compilation are planned-- one with 100% open source used and a similar one with open source hardware, too. please get in touch regarding contributions!
  • have a nice day.

Arch is nice. I wish I had a spare machine to run it on and play with it.

you don't need a spare machine to play with other distros; that's what virtual machines are for Smile

Heh, that's true! I guess what I need is some spare time for it. If I could only snag a tardis along with a VM, I'd be set for life.

Just have K-9 emit a tardis video from his nose.
