hey, maybe someone here also build it.

So my problem is that the "playable distance" (the distance in which you can control the pitch with your hand) changes and gets wider and wider the longer the theremin is switched on.
So it actually gets a huge playable range after a few mintes. Already too huge because you cannot really play with it anymore.

Is this normal, since the minimum theremin is really simple to build? Or is it only mine and I made a mistake building it?

It is normal for a theremin's note-spacing to widen as the theremin warms up. After about 20 minutes, the note-spacing should be constant.

This is why I always make sure my theremin is plugged in and warmed up at least one hour before I perform on it.
