hey exeryone,
sorry if i did the wrong thing popping a new thread for this but i am new to forums.
I am hoping for advice on a chuck interface prob with the mini audicle.
specifically when i try to run files from miniaudicle interface involving any sound buffer sample use i return the string "[chuck](via SndBuf): cannot stat file '../data/snare.wav'...

ideally i will run under command line once i get my head around this again,
my main problem here being which dos editor to use to edit when in the shell environment, (any advice here would be appreciated too,i am running xp btw but it doesn't seem to ship with dosshell).

ps i like the audicle interface also and would definately use it but atm it crashes an runs slow,- i understand it is in early stage as gui and windows is poss not the best to run under.

PPs shout outs to "Inventor" - i am a big fan of your tech show where you talk through your circuits both real and virtual, more like this please, i reckon you must have boxes of interesting stuff to demo and enlighten everyone with hidden around your house.Smile

ppps for the record i am a 40 yo sound designer with background in analog,fm(dx),k2000 vast and synthedit platforms.
i like chuck because it makes me think about composition and synthesis from another perspective that complements the use of my other platforms.

thanks frankie d.

I having a similar issue when I try to use the on-the-fly synchronization examples.

In one terminal I have
Code:

chuck/examples$ chuck --loop

I then open up another terminal and type

Code:

chuck/examples$ chuck + otf_01.ck

which causes the following error message to appear in the first terminal:

Code:

[chuck](VM): sporking incoming shred: 1 (otf_01.ck)...
[chuck](via SndBuf): cannot stat file '/data/kick.wav'...

A similar result occurs when I try to start any other otf files from the second terminal. Any help with this would be much appreciated.
