noiseToySound Releases Sound/NOISE Apps for iPad |
|

noiseToySound has released a series of four new soundtoys for iPad, offering bouncing, drones, textures, atmospheres and sonic landscapes.

Boinkss uses simulated physics to create shifting sonic patterns and freeform sequences. The player draws colourful lines and shapes, then drops bouncing balls into their creation. The collisions of the balls results in dynamic and varied sounds. The different colours in the palette relate to different sound types, which can be combined in many different ways.

SonicScan Touch is a multi-touch soundtoy application. Create and manipulate textures, drones and shifting sonic landscapes using the included scenes. Sixteen scenes are available, each containing different sonic content to play with. Use up to four fingers to control, layer and manipulate sound. SonicScan Touch is capable of creating vibrant and dynamic sonic textures and drones via the easy to use interface.

SpiralSet is a soundtoy. The player tilts the SpiralSet structure to determine the motion and pathway of three light emitting balls. The movement of each ball controls the sound. Sound develops and changes in relation to the position, motion and pathway of the balls.

ResOscope is a soundtoy in which the player uses touch to apply motion and momentum to five individual 'sound pucks'. The pucks' movement and contact with the ResOscope structure causes different sounds and sonic behaviours to occur. Use ResOscope to explore sound, and create atmospheric sonic textures and drones.

to electro-music.com, and thanks for posting info about your apps. They look like lots of fun.
Unfortunately, I can't locate these apps on the iTunes Store. _________________ --Howard

Thanks for the update NoiseToys!
Just downloaded two of your programs. Going to play them tonight on the Chez Mosc program. I got Boinkss and NoiseScan Touch.
These a little gems. I'm glad that whatever problem with Apple was there has been worked through.
If you want to check out this series for quality of sound etc., at least one of the four apps is free. _________________ --Howard
